Mary Lou Pence (1906-1995) was a journalist and author. She was born in Billings, Montana and received a degree in journalism from the University of Wyoming in 1934. She was the woman's page editor of the Laramie Daily Boomerang, served as editor of Petticoat Politics, a Wyoming women's political newspaper, and wrote feature and news stories for The Denver Post, Portland Oregonian, American Weekly, Empire Magazine, American History Illustrated, and historical journals.
